Maria Bartiromo just interviewed Orange CEO Sanjiv Ahuja, about Orange's mobile phone business. They discussed the future of mobile phones and how to attract a customer that so many companies are targeting.

Among the topics they discussed was "video snacking", the small periods of time people spend digesting media from their phone. Sanjiv suggested that the average video snacking time was about six minutes and usually occurs when the user is waiting for something, such as at a bus or train station.

This is the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man Commercial.

The police often question him, just because they find him interesting. His beard, alone, has experienced more than a lesser man's whole body. His blood smells like cologne. He is the most interesting man the world. "I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis."

This is the Chevron Human Energy Commercial.

And outside the debate rages. Oil, energy, the environment. It is the story of our time and it is definitive and all-encompassing. And it leaves no one untouched. Because make no mistake, this isn't just about oil companies. This is about you, and me, and the undeniable truth that at this moment there are 6 and a half billion people on this planet, and by year's end there will be another 73 million. And every one of us will need energy to live. Where will it come from?

This is Chevron's challenge each day. Because for today and tomorrow and the forseeable future, our lives demand oil. But what's also true is that we can provide it more intelligently, more efficiently, more respectfully. That we'll never stop looking for alternatives. That an oil company can practice and espouse conservation. Yes we are an oil company, but right now we're also providing natural gas, solar, hydrogen, geothermal... Because we live on this planet too.

This is who we are. In 180 countries. Not corporate titans, but men and women of vision. 58,000 citizens of the world. Liberals and conservatives, engineers and scientists, pipeline welders and geologists, husbands and wives, part-time poets and coaches. People who daily try to find newer ways, cleaner ways, to power the world. Humans have always reached for what seemed impossible. Because it is then that we find a way. Tell us it can't be done and watch as we tap the greatest source of energy in the world. Ourselves. This is the power of human energy.

This is the Louis Vuitton Journey Commercial.

What is a journey? A journey is not a trip. It's not a vacation. It's a process. A discovery. It's a process of self-discovery. A journey brings us face to face with ourselves. A journey shows us not only the world, but how we fit in it. Does the person create the journey or does the journey create the person? The journey is life itself. Where will life take you?

This is the Dow Human Element commercial.

For each of us, there is a moment of discovery. We turn a page, we raise a hand. And just then, in the flash of a synapse, we learn that life is elemental. And this knowledge changes everything. We look around and see the grandness of the scheme. Sodium bonding with chlorine, carbon bonding with oxygen, hydrogen bonding with oxygen. We see all things connected. We see life unfold. And in the dazzling brilliance of this knowledge, we may overlook the element not listed on the chart. Its importance so obvious, its presence is simply understood. The missing element is the human element. And when we add it to the equation, the chemistry changes. Every reaction is different. Potassium looks to bond with potential. Metals behave with hardened resolve. And hydrogen and oxygen form desire. The human element is the element of change. It gives us our footing to stand fearlessly and face the future. It is a way of seeing that gives us a way of touching. Issues, ambitions, lives. The human element. Nothing is more fundamental. Nothing more elemental.
