This is a video of me doing a one handed shuffle. It was shot on Tuesday, October 4, 2005.
The one handed shuffle is not that hard once you get the hang of it. The deck should be held face down at the tips of the fingers with the thumb on one side, the middle and ring fingers on the other, and the pinky and index holding both ends.

With the tip of the index finger, break into the outer corner of the deck about halfway down and grip the bottom half of the deck between the thumb and index finger.

Open your hand wide so that the top half of the deck goes between your index finger and middle finger. This part takes some practice, and you should try to get in down smoothly before you actually try to shuffle the two packs together.

Once you can easily separate the two halves, try to get them level so that you can put the lower corners together. The deck should have slight upward bridge, so that when the bottoms of each corner touch they will naturally bend up and interlace. This is by far the hardest part of the one handed shuffle!

I would recommend just trying this part over and over without the one-handed separation. Just place the cards with the other hand into the position shown into the picture so you can practice shuffling them together.
Once you get them shuffled the bridge should come naturally. Just flex your hand in and make sure the cards don't shoot everywhere. You can also do the bridge upside down, with your palm facing the floor (this one was done palm up so you could see it).
Send me an email if you like this explanation or if you need some help with a certain part.

This is a video of me doing a one handed riffle shuffle with a bridge followed by a one handed cut. I filmed it on February 25, 2007.
