Ah, nanoscopes... I am reminded of the people selling shovels during the gold rush. If you believe that nanotechnology will have even the slightest place in the future, it makes sense to invest in the people that make it possible to see things at the nanoscale.
Investing in Nanoscopes
My main play in the nanoscope area is FEI Company (FEIC). FEI specializes in focused charged particle beam technology. Their products include scanning electron microscopes (SEMs),transmission electron microscopes (TEMs), focused ion-beam systems (FIBs) and DualBeam systems that combine a FIB column and a SEM column on a single platform.
They also produce secondary ion mass spectrometers (SIMS), stylus nanoprofilometers (SNPs) and software systems for computer aided design (CAD) navigation and semiconductor yield improvement. http://www.fei.com/
I also live Veeco (VECO). They deliver "solutions for a nanoscale world". You can find their site at www.veeco.com
