Researchers at Fujitsu have discovered a way to encode data into printed images that is invisible to the human eye, but can be read through a digital camera. The technology relies on the insensitivity of the human eye to the color yellow.

Optical Virus Sensor

Scientists at the University of Twente in The Netherlands have developed an optical sensor that can be used in a handheld device to detect various viruses. The sensor could be used as a quick screen at hospitals, airports, and other public areas to control outbreaks.
