Duoplasmatrons

This is my duoplasmatron page. It will serve as a list of the most advanced duoplasmatrons and other resources relating to ion propulsion and ion engines.

Dawn

Dawn Mission Home Page - http://dawn.jpl.nasa.gov/

The ion engines that will power Dawn have a specific impulse of 3100 s and a thrust of 90mN.

The ion thruster is powered by large solar panels, which ionize the xenon fuel.

Prometheus

Prometheus is NASA's attempt to develop space nuclear reactors for electric power production in potential future NASA missions.
